Job breakdowns

With the apps Muse and Grok Bot, I have wondered what to do with them after the first two days. As a long term apple user, I though of an apple version of this, where I don't have to imagine a usecase after two days of using it.

Here are a couple of usecases where apple made me happy off late.

First, dictation. Apple's built-in voice to text is now as good as the dedicated voice to text apps. I don't use any app to dictate anymore. The built-in one is good enough. Whichever app got my money before has lost it.

Second, journaling. I journal a lot. Apple launched a Journal app a couple of years ago and slowly made it better with each release. Now it is the only journaling app I need. I know my data stays in my iCloud account. I can insert my photos from iCloud freely. I can add an entry around any event in my life smoothly. It knows if I went out for a coffee with a friend, for example, and suggests that as a journal entry.

For long-term users like me, Apple has earned enough trust. When Apple comes up with its own version of a personal AI assistant like Muse, I expect it to be like this Journal app. It will be very well integrated and bundled with Apple's existing subscription.

With the way Apple builds things, I am sure I won't ever have to wonder what to do with its assistant. The use cases will be well thought out in advance and obvious to the user.

I can wait a year for this "Apple Muse" to show up on my phone. There is no rush.

Like they say, sometimes boring is good. Apple is boring.
