How I tried to use 100% of my Grok Bot usage and failed

Since my usage resets today, and we got a free reset yesterday from @elonmusk I challenged myself to use all 100% of my Grok @bot usage and I failed, even after probably 100,000 lines of code being written and a ton of other work getting done. Here’s what I did below:

I run a few companies and projects so there’s never a shortage of ideas of things that I want to build or work on. I’m a product manager by trade so I used the reset as a deadline to build as much as I could.

Today, I spent nearly 850,000,000 tokens

Grok @bot ran a company of specialist bots. I stood up a general manager for each business line I oversee, then a product team, an engineering team, and a design team under each of them.

I Hired Dr Eggbot today to train the whole roster (31 agents) so they actually listen in plain English. Thank you @poteto. And I hired her Tinkabot to build me some plugins!

Then I pointed @cursor_ai cloud agents at all of the work. 59 of them. In one day. That’s a new record for me!

As a pm sometimes i feel limited in what I can do because I’m not a software engineer

I began as a data analyst turned "data engineer" and then landed in product management. Building software as an engineer is a skill im learning even when running a business or knowing SQL/building data pipelines comes more naturally to me.

I’m a self-taught designer at best and have dabbled in web development so because I love to learn I built myself a @LinkedIn Learning replica that way I can train like a forward deployed engineer.

I already know product. I want to own the full stack. Writing and deploying code, designing great looking apps, shipping to production. End to end. And then system design and architecture and finally cybersecurity. Making myself a 1 year learning center curated by AI.

I shipped my own portfolio site as well, I just started by taking my résumé and wanted to showcase my work experience but also my fun Tal twist was. I wanted to code a mini animation app of the software projects I worked on at every company I’ve ever been at!

Then I started a new project called MyToolShed.

I pay for software. Now I’m replacing it with apps I host and manage myself. I’m looking for as many apps as I can replace as possible with this approach.

The first one is my new landlord app. invite Tenants. schedule Work orders. Collecting rent. tracking Supplies. Drafting leases. etc

That tool is probably big enough that it spins off its own document signing software, because I’m not paying another vendor for signatures either.

After that, my own editor for YouTube and short form videos. Cuts, captions, the whole clip pipeline. I make the content. I should own the machine that edits it.

On the side I’m building a small SaaS. Same shape. General manager. Product. Engineering. Design. The team is already in it.

We also sat a new business idea agent down and talked through how to vibe code little products out of this. First one: you upload a resume, you walk away with a live site. That’s the one we’re going to productize maybe?.

And because I’m on the go more than I’m at a desk, I needed ServiceTitan on my phone. They don’t seem interested in building that for me. So we started hosting a mobile board of my own that’s still in practice

@elonmusk gave the extra reset today (Thank you!). @grok ran the company. @cursor_ai wrote the code. I steered. I tried spending all my credits today’s and couldn’t.
